I have procrastinated this far too long. Sorry. I went to see 2NE1 last week. Although I got fucked over and didn’t get to meet them I still got to see them up close and front row and confirm they were real! Further details upon request. Needless to say they put on such an amazing show and when they come back to the US I will be there again, front row! Next time Park Bom Goddess I will get to hand you my offering of a can of corn! Just you wait! Also in personal news I have been losing weight for almost a year now and currently down 58lbs. (26kg). woot!
So okay, here we go. The story starts out with four friends who are all in their 40s. The 40s F4 we’ll say. There is Kim Do Jin (Jang Dong Gun), Im Tae San (Kim Soo Ro), Choi Yoon (Kim Min Jong), Lee Jung Rok (Lee Jong Hyuk). Okay so like I said they are best friends and have been since high school. Yay!
So background, Lee Jung Rok is married to Park Min Sook (Kim Jung Nan) who is an older woman of money. Jung Rok is a player despite his marital status and his friends always cover for him while he plays with other women. It is unclear as to whether or not he sleeps around or just dates around. Up to you to decide, either way he is a cheating son of a bitch and that’s all he really does and it causes severe drama between him and Min Sook.
Choi Yoon is a lawyer and widower who cannot let go of his dead wife and continues to live with his mother-in-law. or at least just hangs out with her. I think it’s live with but don’t quote me.
Im Tae San and Kim Do Jin are both architects and have an architectural firm together and I think it’s fairly successful. Both of them are unmarried but Im Tae San is dating professional golfer Hong Se Ra (Yoon Se Ah). While Kim Do Jin plays around a lot but that will soon change.
So one day Kim Do Jin is hanging out inside Jung Rok’s cafe when he sees this chick hiding from the rain under the table umbrellas outside. Their eyes meet and instantly he is like, “Dude, I wanna hit that!” Then his assistant or someone shows up and she thinks, “He’s got a girl and he’s checking me out? Tch, I’m out!”
another drama i need to finish. so fun reading these. xD

When it comes to kdrama, I’m typically in it for the cute shenanigans and hilarious yet touching hijinks found in the romantic comedy genre. Yet somehow, I found myself glued to the tragedy-porn that was I Miss You/ Missing You.
Interestingly, for all that I Miss You managed to keep me watching week after week, I never really emotionally engaged with it. I was very much watching a show, distanced and not really moved by it, except to appreciate the artifice and craft that went into producing so many tears.
Great, inventive scenes like this one, where adult Jung-woo unburdens himself to his memory of child Seo-yoon kept me watching.
what a read!!! i need to finish this drama. YEH <3
Title: Reply 1997, Answer Me 1997Country: Korea
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Stars: Jung Eun Ji, Seo In Guk, Shin So Yool, Hoya
Format: Drama
Episodes: 16

I know I am super late on this one but I mean come on, I’m lazy and back when I was doing super summaries, this was gonna cause brainsplosions for me. Anyway, I am up to 96 followers, WELCOME MY NEW LOVELIES!! and in 4 more legit followers I will do a giveaway. A movie probably. I will give away a drama at 200 followers. Depending on stuff I will either make it winners choice or I will choose. Lemme know what you think.
Set in 1997 Busan, last years smash hit Reply 1997 follows a group of six friends through their 18th year and beyond, so-to-speak. It opens on a high school reunion and is told somewhat in flashback and goes through the ups and downs of their youth from one-sided crushes, awkward first dates, family drama and of course, fan girling.
The main plot follows H.O.T fangirl Sung Shi Won (Jung Eun Ji) and her childhood friend Yoon Yoon Jae who is obviously in love with her but hides it. He gets jealous however, when he believes his friend Joon Hee (Hoya), is in love with Shi Won. Unbeknown to Yoon Jae, Joon Hee’s actually in love with him. The only one who is aware of Joon Hee’s orientation is Shin Won who supports the crush. Joon Hee, unwilling to lose the friendship he has with his crush decides to hide his love. There were probably societal issues at play here too that remain unaddressed.
